Classroom Update 12/10/2009

Parent Letter that was emailed on December 10, 2009

Dear Parents,

I wanted to send you some information on what is expected of your students for their Final Exams in my Computer Applications and Web Design Classes.

Computer Applications
The Computer Applications classes were sent home with HOMEWORK! They are to complete and turn in a study guide Friday! Please help them remember. I will give them the correct answers and ask them to study over the weekend. They will have two parts to their final exam; a written exam (similar to their study guide) and a computer based part (they will create a database in Access and a newsletter in Word).

Web Design I
The Web Design I class has been working on their study guide in class. I will give them the correct answers and ask them to study over the weekend. They will have two parts to their final exam; a written exam and a computer based part, they will re-create an image and postcard. Please check out their work on my classroom blog. They have been doing a great job and I have been really impressed.

Web Design II
Web Design II has been working incredibly hard to finish all of the teacher webpage before the end of the semester and they have done it! They have a special project for their final exam. The details are:
You are EXEMPT from the final if….
- You have completed all of your December News Assignments
- All of your teacher websites are finished!
However….
- You have to complete a tutorial on Photoshop/Flash/Dreamweaver before finals day
- Turn in a 4 page website on anything using what you learned
- And turn in a list of all news assignments and teacher pages you completed this semester!

New Classroom Blog
Check the blog for current classroom information and what your students are working on in the classroom. I will also try and post the answers to the Web Design I Study Guide!
